How to Take Cuttings From a Hydrangea

  1. Find a stem from the plant without a flower on.
  2. Use secateurs to cut just under a leaf node.
  3. You want your cutting to be about 6 inches long.
  4. Remove all of the leaves except the ones at the top.
  5. Fill a pot with gritty soil.
  6. Add the cuttings (4) to the sides of the pot, equally spaced out.
  7. Water well and leave somewhere indoors out of direct sunlight.
  8. Keep an eye for growth and keep watered.
