Ingredients:
- 3 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 apples, sliced
- 1 red cabbage, shredded
- 1 tsp five spice
- 1 tsp ground Nutmeg
- 1 tbsp White wine vinegar
- 1 tbsp Mango chutney
- 1 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Balsamic
- Salt + Pepper, to taste
Method:
- Fry off the onion until soft, once the onion is soft add the garlic and cook for a further 1 minute.
- Add the cabbage and apple, and cook with a lid on so it gradually softens.
- Add in the five spice, ground nutmeg, white wine vinegar, mango chutney, soy sauce and balsamic vinegar.
- Stir all together and leave on the heat until softened.
- Once the cabbage is cooked through, give it a taste and season well.
