Ingredients:
- 150ml warm water
- 15g fresh yeast or 2 level teaspoons of dry yeast
- 225g of plain flour (plus extra for working)
- 1tsp of salt
Pre-heat your oven on 200c
Method:
- Add the sugar and yeast into the warm water.
- Mix and allow the mixture to stand in a warm place until froth develops on the surface
- Sift the flour and salt into a large mixing bowl. Make a well in the middle and pour the yeast mixture in.
- Lightly flour your hands and slowly mix the ingredients together until they bind.
- Dust your surface with flour, and knead the dough for 10 minutes until smooth, silky and soft.
- Leave dough to rest until soft to the touch but not too springy.
- Divide the dough up until you have about 16 chunks.
- Roll into balls and place on an oven proof baking sheet.
- Leave the Dough Balls to rest for 30 mins.
- Make sure the oven has reached temperature and bake for 6 minutes until golden.
Tip: These go really nicely with either Garlic Butter, or Chilli Vinegar.
