Slow-Cooker Chocolate Lava Cake

Ingredients:

(For the Cake)

  • 2 cups plain flour
  • 1 cup caster sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup milk

(For the Lava Sauce)

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup cocoa powder
  • 3 cups boiling water

Method:

  1. Line your slow-cooker with grease-proof paper, making sure it goes up the sides.
  2. In a bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, cocoa powder, and salt.
  3. Make a well in the middle and pour in the melted butter, vanilla, and milk.
  4. Stir until well combined.
  5. Pour into the slow cooker.
  6. In another bowl, combine the brown sugar and cocoa powder. Sprinkle this mixture over the cake batter that is in the slow-cooker.
  7. Gently pour the boiling water over the top.
  8. Place the lid on and cook on low for 3-4 hours or until the cake is cooked.
  9. Serve & Enjoy.
