Ingredients:
- 3 onions, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp tomato puree
- ½ tsp cumin
- ½ tsp hot chilli powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tin chopped tomatoes
- 1 tin red kidney beans
- 1-2 beef stock cube
- 100g green lentils
- sweet corn (optional)
- 2 tbsp cornflour, to thicken (optional)
- rice, to serve
- nachos, to serve
- dips of your choice, to serve
Method:
- Add all of your ingredients into the slow-cooker and put on high for 5 hours.
- When the chilli is about done, add some sweet corn to the slow-cooker and cook your rice. (see video below)
- If the chilli is too runny, just mix 2 tbsp of cornflour with 2tbsp of the chilli liquid, give it a good mix and add it into the slow cooker. This should thicken the sauce in a matter of minutes! Easy.
- Serve up with rice, nachos and dips of your choice.
