Garlic + Honey Tofu Rice Bowl

Ingredients:

  •  500g Tofu
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • Salt and Pepper to season
  • 3 cloves of garlic, crushed
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup water (or vegetable stock)
  • 2 tbsp white wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • Rice, to serve
  • vegetables of your choice, to serve

Method:

  1. Cut up the tofu into bite size chunks.
  2. In a bowl place the flour, salt and pepper and give it a stir.
  3. Add in the tofu and coat well.
  4. Place the flour coated tofu onto a baking tray and add a little oil.
  5. Pop into the oven on 180c for 30 minutes.
  6. While the tofu is cooking, boil some rice and chop up your veggies.
  7. Now that the tofu is cooked, add the garlic to a frying pan and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  8. Add in the tofu, honey, water, white wine vinegar and soy sauce.
  9. Cook until sticky and serve up with your rice and veggies!
