Ingredients:
(for the filling)
- 1.2 kg apples, peeled and sliced thin
- 4 tbsp caster sugar
- 4 tsp ground cinnamon
(for the crumble) - 350g plain flour
- 220g caster sugar
- 220g butter/margarine
- 2-3 digestive biscuits, crumbled
Pre-heat the oven on 190c
Method:
1. Mix the sliced apple, sugar and cinnamon together in a bowl and place into the bottom of a baking tin (*insert dimensions of tin).
2. For the crumble topping, place the flour, sugar and butter in a bowl and make into crumbs rubbing it between your fingers.
3. Sprinkle the crumble over the top of the apples and then add the biscuits on top of that for a bit of extra flavour.
4. Place in the pre-heated oven for 1 hour or until the crumble is golden brown and the apples are cooked through.
