Ingredients:
- 1 kg stewing beef
- 1 bay leaf
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 onions, finely diced
- 3 potatoes, diced
- 1 tin chopped tomatoes
- 1-2 pints beef stock
- 300ml red wine (optional)
- 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- salt and pepper to season
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp paprika
- mushrooms (optional)
Method:
- Place all ingredients into the slow-cooker and cook on high for 8 – 10 hours. (this cooking time may vary depending on your cooker, mine takes 10 hours on high)
- 30 minutes before it is done, make some dumplings.
